Jim Ruoff is the owner and trainer at Joltin's Gym. Having had over 50 sanctioned amateur fights and 12 professional fights, Jim is well qualified to teach the basics of boxing to beginners as well as manage and train any Professional boxer.
Jim Ruoff (formerly known as Joltin’ Jimmy Ruoff) started boxing at the age of 10 and competed in the amateurs since 1979. In 1981, he won the Regional Pennsylvania Golden Gloves title. In 1984, Ruoff won the bronze medal in the NCBA National Championships. Compiling an amateur record of 51 wins and 7 losses, Ruoff turned pro in 1984 and competed as a professional through 1988 before ending his professional career with a record of 8 wins, 4 losses (6 KO’s).
